I have a new cause that I think is very important.  The California Bicycle Coalition is responsible for promoting bicycling in California.  They do this by sponsoring laws for safety (such as the 3 feet from cyclists law).  It may be a surprise but they were opposed to mandatory helmets for all cyclists as it was felt the law would discourage people from cycling.

The California Bicycle Coalition promotes and sponsors safe bike trails and works to make sure they link up with each other to make getting around by bicycle easier.

This will be my third year riding to promote the California Bicycle coalition and to get a chance to check out some of the new trails they have helped to make happen.
