About the award: With the Bicycle Dreamer Award, the California Bicycle Coalition honors extraordinary achievement in advancing our dream: that one day soon all Californians will be able to ride bicycles safely and conveniently wherever they wish to go, and that, as a result, all our communities will thrive. Our inaugural Bicycle Dreamer award will be given to Long Beach based journalist and communications expert Brian Addison for using his writing and social media skills to engage and educate the broader community of the rights and opportunities of bicycling. The current Communications Director of Downtown Long Beach Business Associates, and Editor of LongBeachize.com, this year Brian won a coveted L.A. Press Club Award for the "Online Journalist of the Year."
