I am passionate about ensuring we have safe, comfortable and connected bikeway networks available for all bicyclists— everyone from leisurely family riders and weekday commuters, to elite racers and long distance touring adventurist.  I am thrilled to be a part of this cause to raise funds for such a worthy cause, while at the same time, fulfilling a life-long dream to take part in an extended tour of our beautiful Southern California coast by bicycle.  I truly believe that we can all benefit our environment, and ourselves by making the effort to get out of our cars and get on a bike, if only we had the infrastructure to enable us to do so.  I personally have made the commitment to rely less on the automobile by investing in an electric-pedal-assisted bicycle and bike trailer, so that not only could I commute to work, but I could also incorporate my 6 year-old into our daily commute as well.  It takes a lot of pre-planning to select the safest route, as not all roads are bicycle-friendly.  My hope is that by supporting the California Bicycle Coalition (CalBike), we can realize the dream of a more bikeable community.    Thank you for your support in this worthy cause by making your donation.
