From all that I have researched Cal Bike appears to be the most focused and successful organization working toward a safer and more "connected" biking world.  There is a lot of talk out there, but little action with results.  Cal Bike has made the most progress toward keeping cycling safe, but there is a lot more to be done.  A donation to Cal Bike, thru this event will help continue the effort. I am absorbing all direct costs (hotel, meals, etc.), plus my own donation, to ride this event, so all donations by supporters will go to funding the work of Cal Bike.  And, those donations are tax deductable.
