Retired Guy Seeks a Close-Up View of the South Coast

The CALBIKE folks have put together a ride that's well nigh a dream for me.  Ever since hearing the song South Coast many years ago, the Southern Coastal country has held a fascination for me.  So the Dream Ride is an ideal way for me to both gift myself with a close-up view of part of that country and to support a cause that makes so much sense to me.  What makes sense to me about increased bike routes and bike travel/commuting:  Low energy, low pollution, better physical and mental health (...a strategy for lowering our healthcare costs!), closer contact with the land/environment during travel.

I've decided to pay for all the admin and support costs of this ride, so that all contributions by others will go totally to support the mission of the Bike Coalition.

A Little Bit About Me

I'm a retired building heating and cooling design engineer, living in Berkeley. I've lived in California for most of my life, starting out in Fresno, finishing college at UC Berkeley, living mostly in the Bay Area since 1968.
