Consider arriving early in Folsom, where you can explore the 45 miles of local paths including the new Johnny Cash Trail, a ride to Folsom Lake, visit the zoo, or relax and shop in the historic downtown area on Sutter Street.

GETTING TO FOLSOM
By Air: Sacramento International Airport is about 40 minutes from Folsom. The Super Shuttle (1-800-BLUE-VAN) is one option for transportation from the airport to the hotel in Folsom. There is currently no train transportation to/from the Sacramento airport.
By Train: Take Amtrak to Sacramento. Transfer to the Regional Transit Gold Line/Folsom train. Get off at the Iron Point station, approximately one block from our hotel. Bikes are allowed on all regional transit lines (up to 4 per train car, except none in the front portion of the first car). Here's the link for the RT schedule from downtown Sacramento to Folsom.
By Car: Arrangements have been made with the Hilton Garden Inn for those who wish to leave their car in Folsom while we’re on the road. Be sure to let the hotel staff know that you’ll be leaving your car until Saturday, 10/14.
DEPARTING FROM OAKLAND
Our last evening, Friday, 10/13/17, will be in Oakland, at the Waterfront Hotel in Jack London Square. 10 Washington Street, Oakland, CA 510-836-3800
By Air: The Oakland International Airport is located less than 10 miles from Jack London Square.
Getting to the airport: The 2nd Street and Oakland Amtrak departs Jack London Square to the Lake Merritt BART station, where you can catch the train to the airport. Total trip time is approximately 30 minutes.
By Train: The Capital Corridor (to Sacramento), Coastal Starlight (to So-Cal) and San Joaquin Amtrak trains depart directly from Jack London Square.

Riders who are returning to Sacramento/Folsom via the train have the option of shuttling their bikes and bags on the Dream Ride luggage truck on Saturday morning. If you want to take advantage of this, PLEASE be sure to let Debbie know in advance.
